Cranberry Chutney Recipe
A wonderful cranberry chutney recipe that makes a wonderful marriage with red meats, including game meats and beef.
1 pound (450gms) cranberries 2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups water 2 cups raisins 2 medium apples, unpeeled and chopped 1 cup walnuts 2 Tbsp grated orange peel 2 Tbsp chopped candied ginger
1. Combine cranberries, sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes. 2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 minutes. 3. Pour into sterile containers. 4. Seal lids and allow to cool. Make sure that a vacuum forms under the lids before storing.
